Hear what our community has to say about MCH!
MCH has been a phenomenal experience for our child and our whole family. The teachers are second to none - they have cultivated a depth of expertise in Montessori education over decades and it shows. The head teachers have been at the school for over 25 years! My daughter has grown tremendously over her year and a half at MCH under their guidance. She came in as a very reserved and cautious child, and we have watched her blossom in her independence, joy in the classroom, and leadership (as crazy as that sounds!)
A few other things we really appreciate: the hours make life reasonable for dual working parent families; they offer a great selection of in-house enrichment programs like Playball, Art, Gymnastics, Yoga, and Spanish; and the community is warm and inclusive - every member of our family including our daughter's grandparents feel like they belong and have a personal connection to the school.

I absolutely 100% recommend MCH. If you're looking to start your child off with a top-notch education with long-tenured, professional, and loving teachers who open the doors wide open to learning, this is the school for you. My son is exposed to complex concepts like love, caring, friendship, language, and culture through art, music, and literature. He's developing social-emotional skills and learning independence and resilience through the Montessori approach and philosophy. An unexpected bonus was the amazing community of caring and dedicated parents. I didn't know I'd value the opportunities to meet other families as much as I have at MCH. And finally, the Director is a calm, steady, and professional presence and recently, a great resource and support to me through the kindergarten application process.

I wish I could give 6 stars or 11. What this school is doing for my daughter is amazing. The head teachers have been there for ~25 years. On my first tour, I saw a classroom of 30 children quieter than our own house with 1 child. The Montessori approach to learning nurtures the joy of learning that is invaluable. And the patience and wisdom of the faculty at Montessori Children's House is unbelievable. It’s a wonderful school and is one of the reasons we are staying in SF.

Our two kids have absolutely loved MCH! It has been remarkable to watch their transformation from little kids to thriving human beings with growing confidence, independence, and curiosity. The teachers and staff are incredibly experienced and caring, and the school is well-run. Another thing that we love about MCH is the community: we had no idea we'd meet so many wonderfully supportive parents and siblings and make so many new friends for life.
